Growing up I was an extreme athlete (Soccer 11 months of the year + Lacrosse). I obtained my Bachelors in Apparel Design at the University of Delaware, continuing lacrosse. Studying in Paris confirmed my interest in trend and street culture.
I moved to NYC where I worked for 5 years for companies like: Victoria's Secret, Tommy Hilfiger, Puma, and Converse. Next came designing major label activewear for Dick's Sporting Goods (6 years) in my hometown, Pittsburgh. It was here I fell in love with performance apparel, alas finding where I belong. #nobrainer
Currently, I'm an independent Apparel Designer for brands of all sizes. While providing a vast range of art direction and design services, I also provide valuable production consultation/support. I'm passionate about function and comfort, importance of detail, and creative design (my strength). Knowing how things are made and working close with factories to innovate is what I love and will continue doing.
